Camp #132

Excerpt from "POW Behind Canadian Barbed Wire":

"The jury returned to a breathless court room. Even the ticking of the clock seemed exaggerated as the elected foreman of the jury rose and delivered the verdict: We find the accused guilty of murder. The silence was electric. The low monotone of the interpreter could be heard as he translated into German the dreaded statement. The judge spoke. Sentence of this court is that you be taken from here to the provincial jail at Lethbridge and there kept in custody until June 26, 1946. On that day you will be hanged by the neck until you are dead. And may the Lord have mercy on your soul."

Here you can see the Prisoners off to the left. Three towers are shown, two in the distance.
